Full Backup
The first step is to secure all the important information currently
stored on your computers. DataFort compresses then encrypts
your selected files before transmitting them via your Internet
connection to our mirrored disk servers.
If your initial backup cannot be accommodated by your Internet
connection contact the Albion Business Computers office to ask
about Engineer Assisted Upload Services.
Incremental Backup
After the full backup DataFort will scan the designated directories
on your computers for new and changed files. These will be transmitted
to the data centre to guard against future need. |
Restoring
Information
Should you need a single file or the information
from an entire computer, your data is just a few mouse clicks
away.
You can download a directory of what is stored on
the archive server, then pick and choose what to restore locally.
Alternatively, you can search for specific files for local restoration.
To download information to a new computer, supply
it with the DATAFORT
SOFTWARE, your username, password and encryption key. Then
you will have access to all the information you need to keep
your business running, no matter what has happened.
