How does it work?
Approved traders are vetted before they join and agree to:
- Ensure that staff are properly trained for their work
- Respond promptly and correctly to customer complaints
- Get Criminal Records Bureau clearance for all staff who carry out work in people’s homes.

This scheme exists to showcase traders that can be trusted and have been approved by Trading Standards. It exists to ensure they operate in a legal, honest and fair way.
This scheme was ideal and reflects our general ongoing commitment to our customers.
The Buy with Confidence scheme is run by the Trading Standards & East Sussex County Council.
The Buy With Confidence scheme puts consumers in touch with approved traders who have agreed to provide high standards of customer service.
Including dealing promptly with any complaints.
